Lectio Divina: Practices for Befriending Scripture Reading

Do you read the bible for information or formation? Use of a friendship approach to reading the scriptures can deepen our engagement with God, others and ourselves. When reading scripture is approached with a desire to further a relationship, we find ways to spend time reading, exploring what is being said, appreciating our time together, and letting ourselves be shaped by God.

This four-hour online program will be offered Saturday April 11th from 9:00-2:00. It includes four sessions for exploring specific ways to read, reflect and respond to scripture. There will be practice sessions, discussions, and time for breaks and lunch.  Mary Beth Riner, PhD, and commissioned Centering Prayer presenter will lead this online program.

Please register by Tuesday April 7th by sending an email to mary.riner@gmail.com. You will receive a reply with an attachment of program materials and the Zoom link.
